my neighbor gave 2 ingots that are 2 ft long 2 inches wide that are pointed on 1 end and notched on the other. they are marked w/" kc matrix co." my neighbor thinks these were used somehow in printing. they appear to be of some sort of alloyed lead material. is anyone familiar w/ ingots of this shape and marked this way. wayne h

Do a search of "Linotype" or "type metal" and you'll find pictures to help id what you have. It is most likely monotype or Linotype. Both are great to add to WW or soft lead for harder boolits. It can be used as is, but that's a waste of resources that are getting hard to find.

It is Linotype. Some ingots had a ring cast on one end, some were notched. Good find.
