Hey all, I just got back from basic/tech school for the USAF, completed my reloading bench finally. A vast improvement from my last one I'd say. I completed the whole project for a little under $300 lighting included. Not bad for a poor 21 year old huh?

Looks good and a lot of counter space for all those rounds you will put together. :Fire:

Very nice and spacious and you can add shelves for the small stuff as you go. I wish I had that much counter space. FB

Very Nice - make yourself a box to get the scale up to eye level.

You'll appreciate some shelves under the bench later on. Put the scale up on the shelf where you can see it.

Now, about all that empty bench space... Can I move some of the carp off mine and store it on yours? Yours isn't messy enough yet.

Regards,

Stew

Last time it'll look like that. And, thanks for serving. What/where tech school/AFSC? If they still call it that...

To sundog, my tech school was still at lackland, I'm Security Forces. To the whole cleanliness problem, I even kept my old bench that clean, it's just a bad habit of sorts. I don't need to put up any shelves, I have an entire wall of them on the opposite side of that space. My MEC is set up for 20, but I have a 12ga MEC that I replace the 20 with whenever I need to reload for 12, which isn't that often, I'm more of a 20 ga shooter. There is plenty of empty space on the other side of the MEC to clean/work on guns and whatnot. That side hasn't evolved yet..it will though. Thanks for all the input so far!

Mr. Davis, you are a sick man. :kidding:

When I was 21 and in college I was doing my reloading on the flip-down table in my ancient 16' bumper-pull travel trailer, so I feel your pain. At least we kept doing it, right? Congrats on finishing your first round of schooling.

If I posted a pic of my reloading bench right now you would have to wonder where the bench was! It's literally three projects deep in stuff, tools, bags of brass, you name it. Can I come over? I'll show you how it's supposed to look, but I'm not sure at you're young age you've accumulated enough miscl. odds and ends and little treasures to properly clutter a bench that big and nice!

Hey, where else can you go to get such a blast! Welcome to the insanity....

Can't be a reloading room, doesn't have enough Cr&% on the bench.... :) Looks nice, plenty of room to grow, I'll second the shelves and the riser for the scale....

take the scale and powder trickler and put them up on the shelf...at eye level...much easier to use.

Thanks all, I believe there is a little misconception about the bench. I sit down at the bench, so everything is pretty much at eye level minus the powder measure.

Looks good. Wish I had that kind of space.

Thanks for serving. My oldest is in the USAFR Security Forces and I was SPS 85-95 then retrained and retired in 06.

Give the kid a break guys! Wait until he's been reloading for 40 or 50 years to collect all the odds and ends us Old Farts have collected over the years. :bigsmyl2:
