After sorting and smelting 1.5 buckets of WW's, 110lbs in ingots, I just dont feel like casting. Ready for a nap.

Got most of the WW's yesterday. Most from a tire shop I regulary go to and about 70lbs (raw WW) from a big name, privately owned tire place that had a bunch of ladies working there. Dont know if I should get them donuts or roses :-D
They seemed pretty happy for me to take the WW's.

Those are interesting pans.

I was in Clarksville week before last. Ate at the Longhorn Steakhouse. That is my favorite chain steak resteraunt. Never had a bad meal at one!

If I woulda known, would have bought you a cup of coffee while you were here.

Got the pans at walmart. Rusted up and they dropped the ingots w/ no problems.

I like the way you resisted the urge to "fill'er up". I've never been able to do that. I always fill my ingot pans(cast iron muffin pans) to the top. I would have a lot more flexibility later if I would fill them half full.

If I fill them all the way up, comes out to around 3.5lb ingots and my ladle pours about 1.75.
Easy thing for me do is not fill the ladle all the way up and most of the ingots come out around 1.25lbs.

With the 4 pans there is not waiting to dump them. Fill 4, dump 3, fill 1 or 2 more and dump the 4th.

I generally do my smelting in the evening, or night on the weekends. It's been too hot to be out and doing it as of late, but fall is coming, and my w/w won't rust...

Both may be the best plan. A happy woman with a donut is a easy one to deal with!! Clint [smilie=1:
