I got my 35 Checkmaker from Pat a couple of weeks ago. I tried it out last week and again this week. Results were similar.
A few comments before I get to the results. The forming punch that I got with die measures 0.0342. It works great with the 0.010 copper and 0.008 lith plate. Great looking little bottle caps. The 0.014 Ace hardware aluminum checks stick to the forming punch. I think that I will be ordering a smaller punch from Pat to use for the thicker material.
Results - 10 shot groups at 50 yards. - Checkmakerchecks are as good as or better than factory checks.
Pistol: RPM Sportsman with 10-3/4" barrel & 2x Burris
Boolit: NEI 165 358 GC sized to 0.359
Powder: 10.6 grains 2400
First target with 0.008 lith plate. Second target with factory checks. Third target with 0.014 aluminum. Forth target with 0.010 copper.
