I check the site about three times a week (unless I am out on a job) and I am thinking about a set of m dies I have in .357 and a "corbin gold" M press from the 80s...

I don't want to sell as much as trade...

Do you advertise this in the sales section, exactly how does a trade work here?

RF: WTS, WTB or WTT ads must go in the Swappin' and Sellin' section. Do a quick read of The Rules (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=34743), and you're good to go!

Don't know how many of us check the for sale section as I don't stray from this swaging section much. You certainly got my attention though and I don't mind, though I am not a moderator of this sight.

Usually I have seen guys post swaging stuff in the for sale section and make a simple mention of their post here.

So what does a Corbin gold press from the 80's look like? I certainly know someone that can put together a very good set of those CH dies your are looking for :)

I edited the post above and will read over the rules again later and post something in the WTT section...

Radio Flyer, I see you have what looks to be a Corbin base guard maker in the picture as well. Have you used it much? If so, how do the base guards work for controlling lead fouling?

Yes I have the base guard maker - I found it only works if the bullet is slightly oversized or if the pistol you shoot it from has no flaws in it and has been polished well.

I don't think they work any better than a gas check except that they do not fall off like some gas checks will when fired.

I have several pistols that do not like gas checks or this contraption Dave designed, from my auto-loading pistols they do not work well at all, from a revolver... depends.

You cannot load them as hot as claimed, at least I have not had good results.

It's out of my price range and I don't have any trade item you list on your S&S post
