I have a Beretta Storm on the way and was wondering if any one has done any casting for this carbine in 9, 40, or 45. I have been using the Lee 170g TC in my Ruger P94 with great success. Plan on the same for the Beretta. Any info is much appreciated.

Slug the bore. If you fit it properly, it will be just fine.

Make some dummy bullets and make sure they chamber before you go reloading a bunch.

ive shot quite a few of the lee-tc-175gr-tl thru my cx4.. all fed fine(the gun will eat anything!) and accuracy was ok(i now believe due to undersized boolits).

I size most 40 S&W bullets to .402". Many bores will start life around .4005 and be at .4010" buy the time a few thousand rounds go down the tube to smooth things out. They'll remain at that dimention for a long time before a .402" bullet is to small. Then you need a new barel.

You'll need to wait until you have the barrel in hand so you can set your C.O.L.

I already have some loads for test fitting and a pure lead boolit to slug the barrel. And I already waterdrop all my 40cal. boolits. Just waitin for it to show up. Friday or Monday, the suspense is killing me. My laser sight is on the way too.

My girlfriend thinks it is just another toy for me, but I got it for her more than me. It should be easy for her to handle with the charge handle and the laser sight. Kind of her birthday present.

LOL, when I showed her a pic she did say how good it looked and that she would like to shoot one. I heard "Buy me that for my birthday and I'll let you shoot it when I'm not using it."

You'll love it. They have one in 9mm at the range I go to and we used to shoot it all the time. My son was going to buy one, but he built a 9mm AR15 instead. I used a Lee 125 grain rn water dropped boolit that I pan lube with the barry darr recipe. I use a mild charge of 3.8 grains of bullseye and they work great. I never get any leading and all shots from a 32 round magazine will shoot into one ragged hole. Pistol caliber carbines are fun to shoot.

I finally got out with the CX-4 and burned up my last 100 40 cal. rounds. It loved the Lee 175 tc bullets. Nice and accurate. These were the last of my LLA lubed bullets sized for my Ruger P94. It didn't seem to care, ate them right up. Just a little leading for the first 2 inches of barrel, the rest was nice and clean. I expect the pan lubed boolits to leave no lead at all. Now back to loading my empty brass.
