What has been the going price for these guns? What would be a good price?

Everybody sure they are quoting "Bisley" prices?

I paid $529 ($558 with tax) for mine on the 3rd of March, 2010. Don't like it nearly as well as the standard Flattop but am hoping it will grow on me.

They had one and I believe it was under $500 new. I would have bought it, but I was planning on a guide gun.

Yep.

If these sold good enough for Lipsey's, then next year will start the stainless versions. At least that's what I have been told.

Ruger kind of stole their thunder when they saw the the standard models selling like hot cakes and decided to add standard models to their catalog. So I wouldn't bet on the stainless versions. The market is limited.

Care to elaborate Tony? For me the Bisley grip is a little big in the hand. It sure is a big grip frame to mate with a medium frame revolver.

Ed, that is it exactly. The balance is wrong for me; I probably should have ordered the 5.5 inch barrel instead of the 4 5/8. The Bisley frame will eventually be swapped out to a 50th Anniversary 44 Mag Flattop and I'll have a pair of regular Flattop 44 Specials.

One local shop has a 5.5 inch blue Bisley in 44 Special for $419...and it has been there for two weeks! It looks good, but I have 44 Magnum ACCU-SPORT clones.

Another local shop, noted for high dollar items and naive customers!, has the same gun for $549. He'll probably soak someone with that price...he has "wall-to-wall" innocents in L.L. Bean finery in the place most of the time.

Belleville IL gun show had them about $550 last week end.

Stopped by my local shop today, and they have both a 5 1/2" flattop .44 special, and a Bisley, I think 4 5/8". Both were under $500.
