How many rounds are late model Winchester 94's good fer?

Don't understand. Are you asking magazine capacity or how many rounds will wear out the gun?

The first depends on caliber. The second is that a Winchester 94 will shoot forever.

30-30, yeah? If a .308 is good for 5k+ (http://www.6mmbr.com/308Win.html), then a 30-30 is going to be good even longer. A barrel can always be replaced though.

Its a good question with so many variable as to not have a definitive answer. I've never wore out a barrel, but I did shoot one enough to start a deterioration in accuracy from throat erosion. It was a Model 70 Winchester in 270 Winchester using a steady diet of Winchester 760 powder under 130 grain bullets. It was my only CF rifle and got used for everything. It took 20 years and about 8,000 rounds to do it. Just rebarreled to 338-06 and got another Model 70 in 270 and went on with life.
