What is a good boolit for the 38 Super. Something in the 115-125gr range.
I see NEI has a couple moulds and BRP has the 130gr PB.

Thanks ,
Sean

I've found the Lee 356-120-TC to be an excellent bullet in all of my 9mms including the .38 Super. I've a 6 cavity mould and the bullets drop at .358 - .359 which suits me fine as I've always used .358 for sizing any cast 9mm bullet and never have had any problems and always had excellent accuracy. WWs + 2% tin alloy and Javelina lube are used.

BTW; I've used LYman, SAECO and RCBS 9mm moulds and favor the Lee. The production capability of the 6 cavity mould is a definate +.

Thanks Larry,
That sounds like a good idea,I see that Midway has the Lee 6 cav-120 TC for $38.

Where can I get an oversize 9mm mold?? The 9mm's I have drop .356 MAX on a good day!!
All my 9mm cast are in-accurate and starting to oval the targets at 50'. 25 yards, and they are tumbling and key holing, when they even hit the paper.

I use the Lee 358-125 RF in my High Power. It likes .358 slugs.

I use it in my Super also. It should make a good small game boolit with the good meplat.

I like my custom "Slippery" 9mm which is a little heavy at 135gr compared to what you are asking about, but the boolit I based the nose part of my design off of IS right at what you want. It is the 122gr Saeco #115, available from Redding these days.

Even with a good-feeding auto, I like a bullet that is an ultra-reliable feeder, and this nose design is it.

My suggestion would be the BRP in an all HP mold.

i have 2 - 38 supers and 3 - 9mms, i size all bullets to 0.357 dia , i have the folowing bullet moulds a rcbs #9mm-124-rn- gc and a saeco #377 -122gr tc , #115 -122 gr rn, and a #929 145 gr swc. in all pistols the # 929 is the most accurate ! second is the rcbs with gc , third is the # 377 and fourth is the #115

Shiloh, it could be your powder. When I was shooting the Lee 120-TC on top of Titegroup I was getting tumblers and horrendous leading too. Switched to Unique or Blue Dot and it changed. I did not have that problem when I was shooting the 150-RN, but it was moving MUCH slower.

I got the Lee -6 cavity , .356-120 TC in yesterday and cast about 200 boolits to see if all was OK.
The mould dropped boolits easily after warming up. Boolits dropped at .358 "+ and weighed 125 gr with WW alloy. I am happy with .358" and 125 gr for my 38 Super.
