Am I being unreasonable or unrealistic?
Every time I see a post with 1895 in the title, I envision a question about a 30-06, or .303Brit or 35Win or 405Win or some other long Black powder ctg.
Then I open it up and find that someone's having a problem with a Mahlin.

Would it be too difficult to add an M or a W to the 1895, either fore or aft would do? :-? Thanks to all, Pepe Ray

How about you guys adding a "W" when you are talking about them old guns as there are many more active 1895 Marlins!!!

'Course I have an M92, which is not a W92 even though it's a Win design...

But yeah, when talking 1895s I always say Marlin or Win, if I don't just say "Guide Gun" as appropriate.

I currently have a Chilean 1895 Mauser and a Russian 1895 Nagant revolver. I used to have a Marlin 1895 rifle. Never had a Winchester 1895.

so that would be a C1895M, R1895, W1895, or M1895?

Starting to sound like Metric cartridge designations.

Excuse me, but they did. The 1895 Savage was made between 1895 and 1899 and, as I recall made by Marlin. Caliber was 303 Savage and there's quite a few around. Regards, Woody

Hey, do you have a 1895 Broomhandle Mauser?

Yes but the W95 was made by Mirouku and Browning so that would be a BW95 or a MW95

Is N1895 still available? We could use that for the 1895 Nagant revolver.

Sooo--
I guess the answer to my question is YES ,I am being unreasonable,
or maybe my point was too obtuse for the readership.
Sorry about that.

Old Ironsights,
Yes indeed, you did answer appropriately, E Pluribus Unum.
I must have made a great error. Since the forum catagory was Leverguns, I
wouldn't have thought that the other responses regarding bolt actions and handguns were appropriate. Oh well , wrong again. Keeps me goin' ya know,
learning something new each day. Thanks.

I thought the other comments were attempts at humor.

Gotta have some fun now and then. ;)
