This shows the breach of the barrel where .009 was removed from the back of the chamber A&B (Shaw) barrel 35 Whelen 1-14 twist to fit the Marlin XL-7 Bolt and to head space.

This one shows the factory Marlin XL-7 barrel next to the installed Shaw 35 Whelen barrel mounted in the action. The factory Barrel is 22 in long and the Shaw is 24 in long.

Stock work. The factory BOYDS Ross FT thumb hole stock will use the factory action mount screws but the front screw will protrude from the bottom of the stock as shown with the following pictures. To fix this while putting in pillars the front pillar will be recessed so the bolt head will be below flush of the stock. Yes the factory screw will have to have a few threads removed to enable correct fit.

While it is at this stage the ramp got some attention for smoother feeding.

When I have more pictures of the barrel channel cut to fit the 35 Whelen barrel and the action bedded to the stock I will update the info here.

Should be nice - so is this to be a swap barrel 270 & 35 Whelen?

Lets hope the recoil with the 358009's doesn't break your thumb. :)

Blammer I think I will be okay lol. But other than the 358009 I do plan on the BRP 360-220 which should do well or so I have read. :)

I think what we need is a saeco 35 clone in 5C with HP. :)

Thank You Dan for the BEAUTIFUL work. :) I hope you get to knock something down with it. :). It is sporting a Vortex Crossfire 3 x 9 x40 scope. The trigger was brought down to just under 2 Lbs by Dan The Dangerous Dan Man. :)
