Just heard the news that Steve Irwin is dead. Any of you guys from OZ have the scoop on when or how?

Heard it on the news tonight. He got attacked by a stingray and the barb on it's tail pierced his heart.

he was a pretty cool guy, I initially thought he was a complete %$#@Head, but like a wart, he grows on you :-)

The way he operated it was a matter of when not if, I think.

i pretty sure he initiated the encouter. Does seem like a stingray would hop out of tank and pierce his heart while he was standing on the side lines.[smilie=1:

...........Dang, I'm really sorry to hear that. I never met him but enjoyed watching him "Do his thing". He struck me as probably a pretty nice likeable guy. Too bad.
