Yeah, some of these guys on E-Bay have deep pockets and shallow minds I'm thinking.

Maybe if you were a collector and had to have one. Lyman made a run of these about 10 years ago and I have one of them. The older ones may bring more./beagle

Hey now, ugly boolits need love too.

I think part of the reason molds go for so much on e bay is that most people don't realize how easy it is to order a custom mold. That and they don't research prices, or understand that they can mail order current molds.

+1 Robert, kinda like some of primer scalper crowd, trendy buyers and fly-by-night boolit hobbiests (sp?).

While I find the pricing on E bay to be....entertaining to say the least we all need to remember that the web is world wide.

A guy willing to part with 300 for a 50 dollar mold my be willing to do so because because he has no other source and simply will not lose his opertunity to purchase what he needs.

I can understand the mind set.

I doubt any of us will ever see a real reason for the things we see on e bay.

I just bought some collar button boolits from a forum member here that look like they came out of the Lyman 457130 mold, they have shot really well for light loads in two rifles I have tried them in. But $300 for the mold:veryconfu Wonder what the final price will be?

If only I had known! I saw this mold when it was first listed/ Starting bid was $9.99, but it had a buy it now for $150. If I had thought it would have went that high, I would have bought it and resold it. Of course, someone placed a bid, the buy it now disappeared, and then it went crazy.
