What military brass do you guys use and what for. I have WCC 64 .223 brass that I use in my .223 and .222. The later I size with my CH .222 die and trim the long neck, suggest you use a LEE power trimmer. I also have plenty of LC 30-06 brass. I use the brass for 30-06 and size some down to 6 Rem. I neck turn all my rifle military brass with a Forrester attachment. For pistol I have thousands of WCC .45 ACP brass. My Arizona retired Cast bud is a brass scrounger he gets me all I want. Never exchange money always trade.

What you guys got for military brass. Got to be a ton of NATO .223, .308, 9mm, 45 ACP brass out there. What cases you make out of some of the brass.

I use a lot of milsurp .223 brass for my AR’s, .308 almost exclusivity in my 1919 and 50 BMG because there isn’t a lot of other choices. A little 9mm and 45 but not much, I get most of my pistol brass from range pickups at IDPA/USPSA matches.

I shoot 7x57 Mauser , 8MM mauser , 308 , 30-06 , 45 ACP. all of which can be made using 30-06 milsurp brass.
I have a lot of 308 brass that can also be made into 45 ACP when it splits or get crushed.
I shot military 45 ACP matches and saved the brass so I have a 3 lifetime supply of brass.
You only need forming and sizing dies to utilize 30-06 brass for most of the old time calibers.

I have lots of 5.56, 7.62 and 9mm USGI brass that I use. Just never home enough this decade to reload it.

I've used LC '78 .223 for years. I had to cull about 30% and neck turn the rest to get what I wanted. I think I still have about 1,000. Somewhere along the way TonyB sent me a bunch of Black Hills Match .223 brass off the range at Quantico which is much better, no culls and very uniform necks. It's harder though and I have to anneal it every other loading or I'll get split necks.
A couple of weeks ago I found 250 LC '09 brass on the ground at the range and it looks real good. I just finished prepping and priming them and didn't cull any. We'll see how they do.

The long necks on the surplus .223 are a pain. Every time I do a batch I think about buying a Giraud trimmer. Swaging out the crimp is a pain also, but you only need to do it once.

I've used all sorts of surplus .45 acp. These days the .45s are all mixed together and processed in large batches. I just never found enough difference in any of them to justify any extra work beyond sorting out the Amerc.

I have tons of 5.56, 7.62 and 30-06 Lake City.

I use these mostly in my service rifles, both match rifles and service grade. M1, M1A and AR-15. They are just well suited to the semi auto environment.

I have a Dillon swage and a Giraud trimmer to keep them in line.

Wish I had more of the 7.62, the M1A is hard on the brass. The 5.56 and 30-06 last a good long time.

I've got a bunch of the LC68 Match and LC 72 I use in my -06 Encore pistol. I used to have alot of 5.56 and 50 BMG, but I no longer have guns in either of those calibers.
