I bought two boxes of Winchester dynapoint yesterday to feed my marlin 22mag that has been sitting in the safe for some time. When I opened both boxes the brass was covered with some type of black waxey substance. Some of the points were deformed with some so bad the whole tip was messed up. The holow point was very shallow. It seems that quality control from ammo manufactures has gone way down hill recently. This is followed by several boxes of the new Federal 9mm fmj rounds that walmart carries. I never had feeding problems out of my ruger until I tried these. FTFs FTEs and FTGB (failure to go boom). I know that there is nothing I can do for rimfire rounds and 9mm was too borderline in price to reload fmjs, so I always practiced with factory fmj ( still working on casting for 9mm). Im just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with the current quality of factory ammo.

I looked at them at Wally World. I think I should pass on them..............
