Well, not quite accurate, but when I was in North Dakota, I told a friend of my BIL that I had shot a buffalo using a boolit that I had cast. He asked if I wanted some lead and if I would follow him home he would give me 2-300 pounds.

When I got there it was lead pipe and still in long pieces and coiled up like spagetti.

I used a chop saw to cut it into managable pieces for the haul back to Texas. The chop saw works really well for cutting pure lead. It never labored.

I'd a done the same thing Crabo. For sure the price was right and you were going there and home again anyway.

As long as you were there, good haul. I would not have driven 2200m for 300# of lead, unless maybe you drive a Prius.
