Help need to lengthen front sight

I got carried away filing the front sight down on my vaquero Ruger:oops: I now need to add a little bit of metal or put on a new sight....:sad: Has any one been through this before ? What is the best method?

I put some JB weld on top of my sight and then removed enough to where it needed to be. It worked great but for a permanent fix I would just silver solder on top what was needed and be done with it.
