The knob on one of my HP pins has come loose. What is the best adhesive to cement it in place?:groner:

Gorilla glue will work

I would think JB Weld would make a good repair.

The first time any glue gets hot it's done!

If your knob is loose drill and pin it! That's how Lyman has done it all along!

Drill and pin. With the heat, it has to be a mechanical connection to last/beagle

+1 on drill and pin, no epoxy or glue can withstand the 3-400* spud temps.

Thanks, for all the advise. Stopped at the hardware store the morning and got a screw in wood insert that takes a 4-40 hex head. Now installed and looks like it will work ok. Although my installation doesn't look as nice as the one that came on my lyman. It sticks out and I'll have to remember not to grab it when hot.

When I replaced the wood on my shotgun slug mold, I redrilled all the way through and was able to pass through the existing hole in the plug stud. Then a roll pin went all the way through.
