I am searching for some loads utilizing this combination and I don't have any data for boolits this heavy. I started with 19 grains of IMR-4227 and may stop there as the largest group at 100 was an even 2". I am particularly intrested in loads featuring WC 820 such as accuracy and how clean it burns. 4227 leaves a good bit of unburned residue in the bore, but doesn't seem too bad for accuracy.
The above mentioned load of 4227 averaged 1290 fps and this will probably be alright for deer at 100 yards or less, but I'm looking to expand the envelope a bit. Thanks -JDL

I just started working on the same combination for a Win 94 carbine and the Lee 310 bullet. My first try was 15.0 gr. Herc 2400 with CCI LP primers and Oal 1.625. I didn't get to run them over the chrono but they were accurate at 50yds and very pleasant to shoot. I plan to work up from there and run them over the chrono. I'm looking for a fifty yard + Deer/Pig load.

JDL Im using 17.0 grains of WC820(n) with the Ranch Dog TLC432-285. It weighs right at 282 but burns clean and getting good accuracy out of it.

For the WC820(n) lot that I have I use AA#9 data and in the Lee manual for a 300 grain lead bullet a starting charge is 16.6 of AA#9... The starting charge for a 325 grain lead for AA#9 is 15.7

Hi JDL,
Just got done doing some 300 gr. Lee 310RF loads for my Ruger auto carbine. I have a narrow window to make the thing function yet keep things safe. So far, these loads have worked.
H-4227..19.5 gr.
Win. 296 20.0 gr.
Alliant 2400 15.5 gr.
These shoot into about 1-1/4-2" at 50yds.
I had the same thing happen with the H-4227 with the dirty burning in .44 mag but it burns real clean in m-1 carbine.
