I'm going to be in the market soon for some .44 pistol brass. .44 mag and probably .44 special. In a few weeks, I'll be headed up to the big swappers meet in Johnstown Ohio, and one thing I'll be looking for are bags of .44 pistol brass. (Hopefully I'll come across some contender barre;s and maybe another 1st Gen. frame.) I have no clue what this brass sells for. If I find it in bags of 100, what price is a good price, or what price would get you to buy?
Thanks in advance ......

Not sure if your talking new or not, but new starline is $85 per 500 . . . hard to find used . . .

I buy mine on gunbroker.com most of the time. My best source is nuts4bolts, out of Connecticut. Unfortunately, most of the sellers have items of 100 or 200 count ...add the shipping and it isn't such a bargain. The gentleman above usually has 500 round lots. One of his pictures shows a grain bin full of brass and a grain scoop.

I just ordered 500 .44 Mags and 500 .45 AR from Starline. The mags are unavailable until 9/30/2010; the AR is unavailable until the end of the year. They were both about $85/500.

You might consider how soon you need them and whether other sources of brass are available in the quantity to want to buy. New Starline .44 mag brass works out to about $17/100 w/o adding the shipping.

New Starline .44 mag brass works out to about $17/100 w/o adding the shipping.

The price you see on Starline's site is the price to your door ($84.55 includes shipping). On orders over $100.00 they charge additional for insurance, which adds something like $1.25 to their total bill, so 500 rounds of new 44 Mag brass will run you in the neighborhood of $85.80

once fired.....is often not once fired, so stay away unless you know/trust the vendor.

44 mag 10-12/100, 44 special 12-14/100(cause its harder to find)
