I made a small gong rack from some pvc that I had left from a plumbing project that was left over, just have to find 2 more pieces of 1/4 steel plate for the bottom gongs, and permanently attach the chains with 5/16" bolts, flat/lock washers, and nuts to the horizontal pieces. The horizontal pieces are also reinforced with 5/16 all thread for durability. This will be used with .22s only as it is a mini version of what is possible.Nothing like banging the gongs!!!Total cost will be $15.98...[smilie=1:

Very nice and a good idea. I made some bases for my do it yourself IPSC shooting out of 1 1/2" PVC, about $5.00 apiece. No pics yet though.

One can also use cable with clamps...I found them better than using chains and to be cheaper... If you use a metal disc or a long rectangle for a target, you need use only one cable or chain.

Guy's still no pics, but I saw my original post I changed it to read $5.00 not $500.00. Sorry. Basically It's a rectangle 1' x 1' with elbows and a T in the middle. Then a 1' piece of PVC for uprights. You could make it any size you wanted The cardboard cutout I use is 2' x 4' but I used a B27 target for a guide and the 1' works well. It comes out to about 14" side to side. I used uprights from our old pool that I had taken down and 1 1/2" PVC but was going to use 2" x 2" wood whittled down for uprights.

I used 2 to keep the plates from "angling" after the shot...
