Last year I purchased some equipment fro Dave Corbin. I was noting that one of my dies was producing .3078 bullets.
I stopped by with my dies and explained what was going on. We spent about an hour going over everything. He made a couple lead proofs, and they measured the correct diameter, but when we went to a jacketed bullet, he got the same results. However, when we made a couple FMJ's, they came out the correct diameter... .3082..
He made the offer to hone the die out a little more, however after thinking about it, I just will keep it the way it is..
I was also looking at a different point forming die profile which he made a couple so I can make some proof cartridges for seating purposes... so I can seat the bullet one diameter...
I also ran an idea by him which he said wouldn't work, and said why it wouldn't work, which made sense.... have to review the design of the idea... So, it may be easier to do what I want...
In just the short amount of time I did learn a lot..
