That's onyl 25K bullets, depending on size. I am at about 1300# & while not looking for more, I won't turn it down if it's cheap or free.

I spent a couple years collecting WW's and lead of other species. I have about a ton maybe a bit less. I am certain I won't need to collect any more but as mentioned above I won't turn away any that comes my way.

I have close to 2,000 lbs. ,and will still stop the car for a WW! I have room to store tons, and will quit scrounging when I think I have a lifetime supply. I suppose there is an upper limit on what you need, but it doesn't spoil, and you can sell it if you quit shooting/casting. I think we're all a little crazy for the "precious metal", reminds me of the gold rush days![smilie=l:

700 pounds is a good start. Lead is not going to get any cheaper or easier to get in the coming years. Hoard all you can now. Let the neighbors think you are a wacko. If nothing else later on down the road you can sell what you dont need.

Unlike everyone else, I believe at 700#, you have too much. I believe everyone should only have 250#. So to help you with your surplus, I will swallow the boolit and allow you to send all your extra to me for disposal. However, because of my extreme inconvince in this offer, I will insist you pay shipping. Now, off to do other good deeds. [smilie=w:

HA, you joke, but leave it to liberals, they'll regulate it as hazardous waste & require a permit to own more than a few ounces.:takinWiz:

How much is too much? Can that question even be answered?

If my stash causes a tectonic plate shift, I might, mind you might, have too much. [smilie=1::rolleyes:

Not *this* liberal! The more we all can get, the better. At this point, there is no such thing as too much, kinda like with reloading components in general. Like someone else said, lead don't spoil. Get what you can.

I tell people its there to keep my house from blowing away.[smilie=1: The last I bought was cable sheathing melted into 4# and 10# ingots. Delivered it was $.20/#, so I took all 2200#. Prior to that I was getting range lead for $.03/# or so I had about a ton of that....and several 5 gallon buckets of wheel weights. I won't turn it down, but don't go looking for it.
