I was just sitting here thinking. (can get me in trouble) about whether a guy can decrease the powder as he lowers the BHN. For example. If I was shooting a 125 grain boolit using 3.3 grains of B.E. and using a boolit of BH 10, what would happen if I used an alloy of BH 7 or even 5? Can you reduce the powder and use a softer alloy? I know that you can increase the powder with a higher BHN. Just wondering.

Lower the pressure, the lower the BHN. If you are shooting mousefart loads, then pure lead can be used w/ good results. http://www.lasc.us/CastBulletNotes.htm
