This might help. I don't have one or any experience the mag, just 45acp.

I shot some 260 gr cast over 16.5 grs. of Blue Dot in my Automag with decent results. I never put in the time to dial in a load, but it appeared cast would work fine in it. Good luck.

Not a 45 win mag but I'm planning on a 460 Rowland barrel for my 1911, should be close power wise.

Yes, it is! I have one, just haven't got around to shooting cast in it yet. What a fun gun!:bigsmyl2:

frankenfab....yes,indeed!....everyone that's shot mine had that same smile on their face...even those that were tentative at the first squeeze....mine has the standard barrel and i purchased the 45ACP kit at the same time...along with holster, mags & mag pouches...i hope to knock down a feral hog & possibly an elk at some point.....and i wanna do it with cast boolits!

A buddy has one and asked me to cast some really hard boolits for it. I used a Lyman four cavity 225 RNPB mould and with a lot of lino in the alloy the boolits weighed 215 grns. Don;t know the load he used but the boolits worked well with no leading.

I think I got the best out of my grizzly with 4227 . I did not think it would measure well , but the proof was in the shooting .
