22 k Hornet, Nearly There

Had a bit of luck today. I changed the scope on my CZ 527 22 K Hornet, and zeroed it. have been shooting cast boolits from it for a while now, and have been quite pleased with it averageing near 2"to 21/2" at 100yards, as has been cheap to shoot and has killed many hundreds of rabbits and hares and possums while mainly night shooting. it seems a lot better than the 22 mag rimfire.
the first target shot at 75 metres with CBE 225-42 gc, 7-7 grains LilGun, Fiocchi small pistol primer doing 2250FPS. 5 shots
The second target, 75 metres, with Lee Ranch Dog TLC225-50-RF Gc, 7-7 grains LilGun, same sp primer @ 2190 FPS. 10 shots in this.
The lead mix 60/40 WW and Lead pipe with a stick of 50/50 lead /Tin solder.
Lubed with Lars 2700+ Carnauba Red. All Boolits sized to .225". Checked with Gator Gas Checks.

Have you slugged the throat of your brno fox? I have previosly own 2 of the older brno hornets, Both 1949 year. One throat measured .223" and it shot the old lyman 225348 gc 44grains of ww pretty well.
but the next one I owned would not shoot any cast load. When I slugged the throat of her, it was .226", So I lapped a single cavity lyman 225348 mold to 227". it went from 8 or 9 Inches at a 100 yards down to 2 and half inches with a load of a few grains of old Nobels 64 shotgun powder, doing 1940 fps.
in the picture of 4 test targets below there is not a lot succes, thes were shot at 50 yards with my CZ 527 K hornet with the lyman 225438 gc WW and 4 different loads. It does not seem to like this boolit. It has taken a lot of time and experimenting and testing to get to where I am now at with this Hornet.
I have a little martini that loves the Ly 225438gc.

Don't be afraid of pushing those cast pill with Lil Gun. I'm using 12.7grains for 2,800+ fps with water dropped 50/50 WW-Pb lit by a CCI 500 pistol primer. Accuracy is 1 1/4" for 10 shots. Lil Gun will produce the highest velocity at the lowest pressure of all the common Hornet powders. It also needs to be pushed a bit for it to burn correctly.

not only the fox have perhaps a large throat ,but it have also a free bore very important
if one day i find a cheap mould ,i will try to lapp it ,but not the cbe .
it cast a 224 bullet like it's write on the mould.
