No not on an animal - - - YET !! , But how many times do we see X boolit does X amount of fps & X boolit will shoot X inches at X distance , been guilty of it myself !!![smilie=s:

But here`s some results I wanna share :

These were cast from Isotope alloy ,a consistent 10.5 BHN & weigh 151.5 grs. dressed & ready , Barebottomed 358156HP they group good (when I do my part)

I settled on 1200 fps with either 2400, H-110 or the 6" GPs favorite IMR 800X.

I was concerned with expansion , ya know too hard It explodes , too soft & ya can`t drive it fast enuff , it`s a real balancing act !!

Well here`s the results of wet sand at 25yds , I could`nt find a slug after shootin water jugs. The slug ya see retained 139.4 grs. of it`s original weight !!!

GP--I used to cast hollow points for hunting woodchucks with my .44 mag. I cast them 20/1 and 30/1 lead tin and drove them 1400 fps out of a SBH. They were not quite as accurate as my 50/50 ww/lino mix but they weren't too bad either. The harder bullets averaged in the 2-2.5" range @ 50 yds and the soft HP's in the 3-4" range at that distance out of a Ransom rest. They were really rough on woodchucks!

I too have recently done some workup on boolits. There is a nice thread started that I have put up some info on. Experimenting is fun isn't it. :Fire:
