I was just looking at the No. 444-X Pistol Champ press kit from CH/4D (http://www.ch4d.com/) and wanted to get opinions from folks that have used this system.

I have one just like that. Bought it used from a friend.
This is a press for handgun calibers only, IMHO. And you need 4 shellholders and to shift the cases around thru all stations. The frame is aluminium. The powder measure uses powder bushings like RCBS Little Dandy (the push-button measure, that is).
I havenīt used the powder measure or the priming system, though, so I donīt know how well it works.
Nice to look at, with itīs "old time look" but I wouldnīt buy it again, given the chance. I have only used it for single-loading some .32SWL ammo + pushing out live primers. Tried it for resizing 30-30 but the press felt a bit undersized so I switched to my Bonanza.

Probably the LEE turret is a better choice?

Edit: RCBS uses rotating bushings while CH bushings have a hole straight through. They both require one bushing per powder volume so it can be costly if you need many.

I bought mine about 20 years ago, it once had the manual push knob primer system.

Put a Dillon old 450 powder measure on top and it works just fine.

This press has an automatic primer catcher I made for it, rises and falls with a pull of the handle...primers drop out in the white cup below.

I can recomend it for handgun, but it's not much good for bullet swaging...not enough compound linkage strength. C-H makes an ideal one for swaging, its a monster called the Champion.
