I was in a local pawn shop today and the guy had several "conneticutt valley precision" I think. 50m cal hawkens made in Spain in various states of repair. He hinted that $100 might take all four or five. A couple of other 45 and 50 cals. He also had a knight inline 50 with a simmons 3/9 that he said was probably a $75 piece.
Should I take them all and make a deal or pass on the lot?
Mike.

If the barrels aren't rusted and ruined I'd take 'em. I have one in good condition and it shoots just fine. The locks aren't the greatest, soft metal, but if you are a tinkerer that is a great buy.

If the locks are soft, they could be casehardened with "Kasenit". I believe Brownells caries it...Ray

If it's in good shape, the Knight ought to be worth more than that without the scope.

A hundred dollars for the lot? I would pounce on that deal.
Keep the best rifle for yourself, clean the others up and then sell them at a local gunshow. You will come out with a profit.
