I did a shooter grade once with a scout scope set up. Really worked out well.

The google pictures appear to be two different guns: note the different color wood, mounts, and rings. I have used the Williams left side mount and it was awkward for me. The Redfield long eye relief mount made for clumsy carrying. As on the straight pull Swiss rifles, a right side offset mount might have been more successful.

Here's one I just set up last week. It is a Model 64 30-30 made in 1938 with Leupold Scout scope and Redfield receiver sight. I had the Redfield sight all sighted in and then decided I can't see well enough to shoot past 100 yards with it so I bought the scout scope. The funny thing is it weighs 2 ounces more than my pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 30-06 with a full sized 3x9 Leupold. It will carry better though. I will probably hunt with both of them.
