Good day all,

I have been so far unable to find any reference to the weight supposedly thrown by the two different cavities in a mold. It is marked M-311-858-781.

Any help?

D.

Look on castpics (bottom of the page is a link). Look under references/moulds/Bond.

The 781 is a PB 311 120 grains./beagle

one thing to note on the markings on the MB moulds is that they are marked as to the diameter and the length. You will have to find a catalog or as Beagle mentioned the info on castpics.

So.... the initial letter designation is not critical? I have a reprint of a 1923 Catalog , and see the 781=120 gr reference in a mold with a different letter than M as the first part of the mold ID.

858 must be in another catalog.

Many thanks!
