scoping a mosin

hi
i want to scope my mosin looking @ kalinkina(spelling) drill and tap rail to mount a posp scope like an SVD used with the dragnov reticle making it a kinda updated enemy @ the gate clone

while one will be used for cast boolits the other will be jac(ed censord)
i would like to do this to both and i can still remove them and shoot iron

anyone do this?? any other solid scope mount ideas????

I drilled/tapped and mounted one of my MNs with a Kalinka optics PU sniper scope and mount replica. I'm not sure what exactly you're asking to that end. Even with the scope on I could still shoot irons, but that's what my other MNs are for.

In terms of alternatives, ATI makes a scope mount and I have a Leapers UTG scout scope mount which worked fairly well. All options save for the Leapers UTG scout scope mount require a bent bolt.

I know nothing about a MN receiver mount, but did go the scout scoped route, worked out great for being on the cheap. (rifle, scope and mount, and a little effort, 55 bucks total)

are you happy with the psop ?????? and i want it scoped for aging eyes and still use iron if i want and i have no problems in a bent bolt

The scope mount has a little bit of a learning curve. In order to get it to in-line zero with the bore, you need to use a piece of leather or some other fabric between the scope base and the mount. It's a bit awkward, and requires a re-zero when you take the scope off. It's high enough, though, that I can use irons even with the scope on.
