Anybody know what this is? I received this e-mail and have never subscribed or heard of it? Scam? Legit?

Dear Reader,

This e-mail confirms your subscription to the Hobby Gunsmith on-line
magazine. If you are receiving this by mistake, you can be removed from our
mailing list by replying to this message and asking to be removed. It is
possible that you are accidentally on our list if you acquired an e-mail
address abandoned by one of our subscribers during the last year. We are a
legitimate company and will happily remove you from the list if you ask.

It has been a while since the last issue was released and much has happened
since then. We are planning to release our next issue in just a few weeks
and this is a test of our new mailing list software that now has all of our
subscribers on a single list. If you have received this message, you need
not subscribe again to get another issue.

We have had difficulties with the e-zine, because of increased use of spam
filters by the ISP's of our readers. I will cover this in greater detail in
the next editorial, but in order to remain a good network citizen, we had to
discontinue our past mailing list and convert everything over to a special
list server.

Please do not subscribe again if you received this message since it may
cause problems with the software.

Allow me to express my thanks and appreciation for your patience in dealing
with the long delay since the last issue. We are now part of the new
network publishing division of Time-Slice Consulting, Inc. and look forward
to being part of a group of newsletters that will soon include The Hobby
Machinist.

Best Regards,

Keith T. Chiles, President
Time-Slice Consulting, Inc.

Regards, Woody

Its legit. A guy(Chiles) out in California somewheres started a kind of home-hobbyist gunsmith online newsletter. I enjoyed it for quite a while then it kind of sank away. He seems to be trying to get it up and going again. Hope he does because it was a good read most of the time. He is a cowboy action shooter himself and a lot of his info is geared to that stuff. I got the same email today probably because I had been on his list.

I got it in the mail as well. Some of the past articles are quite informative with good picts. Looking forward to an upcoming installment myself.
