My Lee shell holder seem to be made for the .30 Carbine and does not accurately fit the .32 ACP cases. I found there is a gap between bottom of case and top surface of the shell holder. This results in the shells being located by the tapered part of the extraction groove rather than the bottom of the rim. The result is uneven neck expansion and uneven bullet seating. Press is RCBS.

Does anybody make a shell holder specifically for the 32 ACP?

Does anyone make such a shell holder without the relief cut for protruding primers?

I use a RCBS #17. It fits pretty good. My shell holder has no relief cut as you described.

The shell holder in the Lee die set for .32 ACP has a suffix on it. I'll dig my set out when I get home.

I just went out and got a new RCBS #17 shell holder. It has the relief cut. Any idea how this can be specified?

My Lee set has a 7b shellholder w/o a grove. Hope that helps

My set of Lee shellhoders does not list the .32 ACP. You might look online at Hornady. When I was searching recently for .25-20 Winchester stuff, it seemed like they made more specific shellholders than anybody else.

I also use a 20-year-old+ #17 RCBS shell holder for my 32 ACP reloading. It has a relief cut, but it is narrow enough to still support the 32 ACP case base sufficiently. There is no support received from the "horseshoe" area of the SH bearing on my 32 ACP extractor grooves.
