Got my new LEE 358-180-RF mold from the group buy and cast some bullets. Loaded a dummy to check feeding in my Rossi 92 and was disappointed to find they don't feed for squat. They get hung up as the bullet is just in the chamber and the rim is still between the rails. It looks as if the cuts in the rails that let the rim pass through need to be opened up to the rear to let the rim rise up sooner. Any one else run into this problem?

Yep, sure did. See http://www.castbullet.com/shooting/rossi-s3.htm

I've since opened the right side rail a little and my Rossi will feed 1.600" OAL just fine.

Thanks for the link. That is exactly what is going on. I was going to open up the left rail, {the cut is noticeably smaller than the right side} but wanted to see if anyone else had run into this before. Thanks.

I tried to avoid that on the bullet. I have a Rossi M92 in 357 mag and used the LBT 180 for testing, then I lathe turned a couple to match the drawn profile. The nose was kept shorter so that it would feed, but it looks like my gun was the exception. My mold is from the first run and they feed fine in my gun when crimped in the crimp groove.
Looks like we could have made the meplat abit smaller and put more taper on the nose.

I have fixed the feeding issue. I think it was a fault with the gun more than the bullet. The rim cut in the left rail was smaller than the right side. I removed just enough metal to make the left side the same as the right and now it feeds just fine.

I did notice the Lee GB mould meplate size is a tad larger than on the bullets Cast Performance sells (180gr and 187gr), but for my TC Contender it does not matter.
