Does the seat/crimp die in the current Hornady 45ACP set provide a roll or taper crimp?

Mine does a taper crimp. However, I don't know what it would do if I cranked it down several more turns.

Typically .45 ACP ammo if loaded for automatics and it headspaces on the front edge of the case so ACP dies will have a taper crimp. If you roll in the front edge of the case like on a revolver, that will cause problems with the headpsace and you may have ingnition problems.

When I load .45 ACP ammo for my revolvers I do want to roll crimp them like a revolver round so I use a crimp dies for a .45 Auto Rim. I specifically use a Redding profile crimp for a .45 AR as I have found it to give a very consistent crimp and I use the Redding PC for all my revolver ammo.

so you can use the .45 ACP die set to load revolver ammo with simple addition of a .45 AR seat/crimp die.
