I am getting a 10" TC in 7mm TCU and I would like to shoot cast bullets. I am casting bullets now for it using a Lee 130 grain gas check mold and I am wondering what the best size for lubing is going to be .284 or .285. I'd rather not buy both sets of H&I dies if possible. What is everybody else's experience with this is?

I dony' know either, but I've been using the 285 since I tried it in 7tcu. I never had a reason to try the 284, as I was very happy with the 285. Of course this is dependant on what size your mould casts, so if you are casting now, what size are they dropping from the mould? DM

The bullets are dropping out at .2855. I am working on a deal for a .284 sizer die right now. I'll give that a try and I will probably try a .285 as well and do a comparison between them and see which one shoots the best.

I use .285-.287 for my 7mm TCU.

Vulture,

I also size to .285 for my 7TCU, Slug your barrel first, then size .001-.0015 over.

Size it to fit the throat of your barrel.:coffee:
