There was some discussion recently about bumping up bullet size and it got me thinking about how to do it. I got the Lee 460-350 GB about a week or so ago and it is casting bullet too small for my TCR 87 also the gas checks don't fit. I also have a Lyman 457193 that is also too small for my rifle and I needed a solution.
I have had this device hanging around for a few years.

After some though I figured I could make a swaging die that would do what I needed so I made this die that is just a straight hole about 1.5 deep that after grinding and polishing came out to .4615", and then a 5/16 hole through.

Then the nose punch

that goes into the die thusly.

and the base punch

The die simply drops into the hole in the press and can be adjust by use of the lock ring.

Dragonrider, great work here. Very impressive.

You know, this could be adapted to strap on one of my automatic bullet ejector apparatus...see picture. Bullets come out with total ease.

Only on your press it would be mounted upside down...what do you think?

The hole the die goes into in my press is not threaded, the die just drops in. To remove the boolit I lift out the die and turn it over and put the threaded portion in the hole and push it out with the punch, However I like your system and would like to try and incorporate somethin like to my press. It will mean securing the die in some manner. I will see if I can post a sequence to show how it works.

I hope this works, it's a video of the swage process. Click on the pic.

Try drilling a hole and tap it for a hex screw to hold your die body in place, maybe a 1/4 inch hex screw.

The threading rods on my device are 3/8 inch diameter. It should work just fine on your good press.
