Victory molds will make a double cavity for the large 45 cal bullets. Costs about US$215 fopr the standard designs, more for a custom cutting..

Harpman,

Saeco 745 is a good shooting bullet, nice design, can be a bit prone to fowling on the muzzle end, if the lube doesn't hold up. I tried it in a Pedersoli 32" 45-70. I tend to like the more generous grease groves.

Harpman,
You started out asking about custom moulds. Then you say you need a bullet for a Pedersoli Sharps.
Victory Molds, a custom mould maker, cuts moulds for the PGT bullet...which was specifically designed for the Pedersoli chamber.

Let us know how it works out for ya.

I had heard that Steve was having trouble making ends meet, now I see that Victory Molds is for sale.

If you really want that bullet, the design is in the public domain. Therefore, any mould maker can produce blocks for it without legal problems.
The drawing is here (http://bpcr.net/site_docs-results_schedules/documents/pedersoli_gunn_trenk_bullet.htm) if you want to send it to your favorite machinist.

It really is a good fit in a Pedersoli chamber, and Shiloh guns seem to handle it well, too.

I just ordered the saeco 459.525 semi spitzer double..I'll give it a shot.I can always go back to my lyman if the accuracy isnt here with the saeco.....I just couldnt take this casting one bullet at a time anymore.

............I use the Saeco #745 in my Parker-Hale Whitworth and a Rigby repro. Both are basicly muzzle loading 45-90's. It performed better overall then the similar weighted Lyman slug. My Saeco is the single cavity block.

I like the RCBS 45-500-BPS single cavity mould. I believe a single cavity mould will produce a more consistant boolit. Anybody else like this RCBS boolit ??

I had the opportunity to be in on the "testing" phase of the PGT Victory bullet. I have had some very pleasing results with it. It casts and shoots good in my Pedersoli RB. I have not tried it in my other .45 caliber rifles yet.
Yes, Victory is for sale, but any of the custom mould makers can cut the design for you. Paul Jones makes some very high quality moulds. I have only single cavity ones from him though.

I, also, have the RCBS 45-500 BPS. I have not done enough shooting with it to offer a valid opinion.
