removing barrel nicks

I have a Remington 513T matchmaster that I would like to restore . It has a nick in the barrel about 1/4" long and 1/32 deep (may be a little deeper) . What is the best way to remove this nick if any. I have seen a vidieo on draw filling an octogon barrel on Midway USA website but do not know if this will work with round barrel . Any sugestions.

Hit it a lick with the wire welder to fill the nick and then draw file and finish with emery and polish. When you draw file the file needs to be clean and if you chalk it it will keep it from pinning. Get and use a good file card and make a file cleaner from an old rilfe case.
