here is a pic of my bevel base and hollow point machine made
from recycled treasure. motor from vacume beater bar. chuck from 1/2 inch
drill, big aluminum pulley and pivot shaft from air cylinder. the brake is bycycle.
i had to buy the micro switch and O ring, $10. the motor starts when u move the handle to the work and stops when u return the handle and the bycycle brake
brings it to a halt with a little chirp. the pivot shaft is bolted and more 5/16 tap
hole could be made for differant applications that i might dream up.

in this pic the cutter is sharpened so that no stop is needed as it,s automatic
about 4 seconds per bullet.

Very clever jbunny. The ingenuity on this site amazes me. Couple questions, does the chuck mar the boolits and why would you want to bevel base the boolits seeing that they are a PITA to lube in a lube sizer?...Ray

my mistake. i guess i should title eveything zinc bullets caus this is what this is for mainly. it don,t mar em and they shoot better with a bevel as the base is not perfect
as cast. when i get my mould 44 cal howetzer, i will make a cutter to make it boat
tail

Indeed. Nice work!

Ray, based on some of his thread's, I'd say jbunny is one of our resident zinc boolit gurus.

...............Your machine is a very tidy bit of machining, fabrication, and execution. I really like it!

That link will work for you because you're logged into youtube and thats a shortcut to "Your Videos".

If you put the title of the video I'll see about finding it and posting it. Otherwise there might be a "send a link" button somewhere on the page, if you find out what link that's using it should work.

Oh and btw, Nice engineering.

That link works. Sure looks like the machine does too!

I see a cannelure machine in there somewhere.....

Doc; yes a cannelure could be made real easy. i designed this thing flexible,
everything is bolted on. i can see a little knurled wheel in the chuck and 2 little
bearings for the bullet to sit in and u would lift the bearings with the bullet to the roating knurled wheel. the motor would not have to stop. i just love makeing things.

Wow, that's slick - good job
