Just got my Lyman 31141 back in the mail this morning. I degreased it, lubed with Bullplate and cast these 50 just to check it out. They look great! I will be mailing 2 more molds to Rick very soon[smilie=w:.

I'm betting that changes that boolit from an accurate at 1300 fsd boolit to one that goes lots faster and remains accurate. HPing can do wonderful things for accuracy.

Nice job Bucksnort!

My mold cabinet is full of molds that Rick has HP'd. You can't beat his work. He is a fine fellow !

Have 5 of his, and am thinking about a couple of more. Tend to agree with Beagle that HP's are potentialy inherently accruate.

Those are beautiful bullets!

This might be a silly question, but how might an HP effect the sledgehammer qualities of a bullet with a very wide meplat like the 311440? Got me curious.
Anyone ever hp'd a 311440?

.............For that design I'd use a very rapidly tapering HP, almost like a drill bit would make, or a HP of a shallow cup design. With that wide blunt nose I'd like the nose to maybe expand a bit, but to continue on without loosing any weight. As it's only 150grs to start I wouldn't want to loose any more weight, but a bit of expansion would be nice.

Just got my 358477 back from Buckshot and must say it is an awesome job. I will be shooting them in this. Makes a nice little 137gr HP as it came. 3gr of Clays is powering these, will test soon.

Buckshot converted this RCBS mould to HP and devised a neat fixed pin to allow it to be conveniently used to makes solids as well !

Great design ! :)
