I bought two #25 bags of 8% antimony reclaimed birdshot from Roto metals. I also have an ingot (about 25 lbs wt) of cable sheathing lead. I have a pound or two of 50/50 lead/tin solder. Would melting the ingot and a sack of shot make a decent alloy? Do I need to add the tin solder to make it even better. My uses would be for 38SPL, 357Mag, 30 cal & 45/70 rifle bullets. The pistol bullets would be both plain based and gas checked, the rifles being gas checked and plain based. I am interested in medium hardness, castability and not leading the barrels. So far, leading has not been an issue with my alloy of 50/50 wheel weights and soft scrap lead like cable sheathing.

The 25 lb ingot + 1/2 bag of shot + 1 lb of 50/50 will be reasonably close to WW+1% Sn. Should work well for everything you mentioned.
