I ordered these moulds a month ago and forgot I ordered them. Midway had shipped them and I promptly forgot to check on them until today they showed up on my porch where FedX had dropped them. The boxes inside looked like they had been rolled around the world but the moulds were fine.
One is a two cavity mould LEE 452-160-RF; and the other was a 459-500-3R. The 452 drops at .454 and the 459 drops at .460 which is great as I will not size ether one. They both drop without smacking them not bad for forgetting for a month.

That 452-160-RF is an interesting boolit. It feeds & flies well for me in a .45acp, but my fat little fingers have a hard time placing them on top of the brass in my progressive reloading press.

What load do you use for the 165 and a 45ACP?
Thanks

The data below is from my downrange log spreadsheet. I don't know where I originally sourced the data from, so please double check it against a reliable loading manual before using it.

Interesting. It will save lead, for sure. That is very good accy for such a short and squatty little
thing.

Thanks! I will be careful, I am basically a coward, and do not like the sight of blood especially my own.

I also have been playing with the 452-160-RF in my .45 ACP's. I really got it as a light bullet for loading in my revolvers but I also tried them in some loads for my autos and found they shoot decent.

They are great for a light steel load in my .45 AR/ACP revolvers and with them I can use my profile crimp die to crimp into the crimp groove. In the auto loads they look strange because I seat the bullet out for functioning so the crimp groove is exposed.

I like it enough to buy a 6 cavity but for whatever reason Lee doesn't make one? Since it is inteded as a cowboy action bullet I am surprised they don't as those guys shoot lots of bullets?

Intel, just buy another two-cavity and cast with two moulds: Preheat and get them going, fill one and set it down, fill the second one and set it down, cut the sprue, dump the boolits, refill and set it down, cut the sprue on the second one, dump the boolits, refill, set it down, pick up the first one.......etc.

Doing it this way no time is wasted waiting for the sprues to cool, you can cast all day that way and it's almost as fast a a six-cavity without the extra weight on your wrist.
