Took my 338ME to the range yesterday with only 10 rounds loaded with the RD boolit loaded over 40gr surplus 4895.

Crono only gave an Err reading so no velocities, but was shooting iron sights (scope to come soon, 56 yr old eyes you know) at 100yds and set sights to hit 5" high @100yds.

Only shot our gongs, but first two shots only had one mark on the gong, pulled third shot a bit low and right (knew it when trigger broke where it would land) and 4th shot was back in area of first two shots. Looking at the gong, I would extimate 1.5" for the three. Thunderstorm near the area so wind was gusting about 15-20mph from all quadrants.. Two shots almost side by side and the third a bit right and about 3/4" above. Pulled shot about 2" low and 1" right.

Going to try and take it back out today with a scope on it (if I can find my scope base that is) and see what the velocities might be.

The dropped from the mould at .339" and I ran them thru a .340" sizer lubed with LBT blue soft.

Is that a picture of the thunderstorm or what?
