This plain base 7MM mold has come into my possession and finding anything for loading data has been a bust.

I will try the tried and true Reddot and Unique loads in my Ruger #1 7MM Mauser.

If anyone has used this mould I'd like to hear about your results.

Also, why is it that folks load plain based boolits in pistol cals, in rifles/carbines and get good results up to 1600 or so FPS. But when anyone talks about plain bases rifle boolits, 1200 FPS seems to be the limit???

This one is a real oldie. I have it listed in an old Lyman handbook of Cast Bullets. It came in two different weights. Loads given are 4 grains of Unique for the 84 grain bullet and 7 grains of Unique for the 120 grain bullet. It shows what is obviously the longer bullet of 120 grains; with three large bands and it is a flatbase with no GC. LLS
