Hopefully you guys can help me out. When I was moly coating some bullets in my tumbler the jar came open, the bullets came out fine but I succeed in moly coating my tumbler bowl .:groner:

Any suggestions on how to clean it out?
I would appreciate any info.

Paul, try Goop hand cleaner, and paper towels. Should remove most of it.

That is the reason I use a seperate bowl. Lyman sells extra bowls that will probably work on your tumbler, whatever brand it is.Robert

take the bowl off and warm soap and water.......lots of rinsing and post cleanup of the sink.

I have one bowl for Moly, one for regular media, and one for ceramic media. In retrospect they are not expensive.

ye olde midway kit suggest bore cleaner ( hoppes IIRC) and media and then hot water and dish soap ,they also state so many pounds of bullets before cleaning ( depending upon lead or no lead - seems lead exposed affects it ) my old 1292 bowls fit on my lyman tumbler ok ( after drilling the hole to 5/16 - thanx for that tip wheeze ! )the new FA tumbler isnt so interchangeable

If the above doesn't work you might try a light sand blasting.

I use Purple Power or Super clean soap to clean up after the moly. Checker, Auto Zone, WalMart have it.
Works great as a cleaner to remove the powder fouling in the bore, but do not get it on anything anodized. It will remove it. Removes all the oil so be sure to protect the bore after use.
Great for cleaning greasy or oily things. Oil spots in driveway, but use sparingly as it will etch the concrete.
