That’s the way it was…
I went up on the Prairie this past weekend to visit with friends and loved ones and to celebrate the Great American Holiday.
Saturday morning we went to a small village parade…it started from in front of the village Church, with a prayer and the Boy Scouts flag raising of ole' Glory. Thanking God for his Blessings of Independence, and honoring the flag for which she stands. that was quite moving.
the parade was made up of local volunteer fire departments from surrounding communities, old tractors, the Honor Guard from the local VFW, antique cars, the local Scouts, dancing children, hot rods and horses. and a Hummer with the local National Guard.
When the local Guard came into view the whole community of spectators broke into applause along the route of the Parade, proudly in support of those who have given so much. that was beautiful, America the Beautiful.
