Did you figure it out? I was thinking of buying one of these and couldn't find anyone who'd had any experience with one.

Length of loading gate is to short or the screw that holds the gate in place is loose.
Hope you haven't rounded over the edge of receiver opening what that screw driver.
Tighten the screw, if that fixes it good, if not a new gate may have to be ordered.

A good smith can fix it without replacing the gate.

I have a 45 Puma 16" carbine and I love it. I haven't had any problems with it. Mine likes 250 gr RNFP loaded hot and 200 gr RNFP loaded to normal 45 Colt velocities. With these loads I can shot 1 1/2" 5 shot groups at fifty yards, with standard factory sights (I have very poor eyesight). I also have an old Puma in 44 Mag which is a tack driver. I have a tang sight mounted on the .44, which helps a lot with my old eyes. I have not had any feeding or jamming problems with either rifle.
