K31 7.5x55 slugs .312

This is my second K31 swiss.... Barrel looks fine but when I slugged it it came out at .3120.... My first K31 slugs at .3075 which is pretty much what I was expecting.... Have slugged this gun twice now just to make sure and it still comes out at .312.... Slugs appear to have good engraving.... Is this gun shot out or is this amount of variation gun to gun normal for these?

boy it sounds like you have a large one there.

i too have a k-31 (1953) and it is 307-307.5 that i shoot at 309 with good results.

yours is the largest i have heard of,so,i guess anything is possible...

a chamber cast might tell you a lot also.

if you have good rifling no biggie unless you can only chamber a 310 sized boolit.
you might have to get creative with this one.
check how large of a boolit you can chamber before going much further.
